Reminds me of that Windows 9x tube screensaver.
Art Shareπ¨
This is a friendly community for everyone who wants to share their art with the world! Everyone is welcomed π¨
Rules
AI Art: While we appreciate AI generated art, there are more appropriate communities to post that type of art to. Please keep posts to non-AI generated art only. This rule includes AI art that was then manually manipulated (e.g. drawing on top of something generated by AI).
Nudity: Nudity is and has always been a part of art, but it may be something that some users don't wish to see or cannot view in certain circumstances (e.g. at work). If your work contains nudity, please mark it as NSFW. Work that contains nudity that is not marked as NSFW will be taken down. As long as the NSFW tag is used, we welcome nude subject matter.
Spam: Please do not spam this community. Self promotion is fine if you just want people to be aware of your work, but blatant attempts at spam will result in the past being removed and possibly a ban. If you aren't sure if what you are posting is spam, please contact the moderator first.
Conduct: Be nice, and don't be a jerk. Constructive criticism is OK, but don't be mean. Encouragement is always welcomed.
Yeah same actually, now that you mention it
I first saw the post, liked it but didn't look at the comments. Just came back and I didn't see this thread but I saw the other more recent comment about the sense of familiarity. Went back to look at the art again and that's when the windows wallpaper connection happened, and then I saw these comments.
I'd love a loooong version of this for a spot in my house for which I struggle to find something.
This always comes up when people look at my stuff. Love it! I definitely watched quite a lot of that screensaver.
Same (or smth similar)
Love this!
There was a guy on public access TV that used to draw sci-fi scenes using tubes. This reminds me of that. Thank you.
Also I like how it looks almost like yarn. Itβs a pleasant texture.
Mark Kistler? If so, I loved watching that when I was a kid.
I think it was a little before his time. His stuff is good though
Oh my God Secret City, I haven't thought about that show in ages.
Copics and felt tip? I dig it. Kinda looks like Tetsuo is coming for you =) My favorite part is all the little stippling =)
I did this one with inks. Brush for the colors, dip pen (and a bit of brush) for the black.
It's trippy, I love it
Love this, getting Yellow Submarine / Terry Gilliam vibes from it!
There's something both unique and familiar about this work. It's kinda exhilarating, to be honest. It's enigmatic, too.
I hope there's a teapot hidden in there somewhere.
