I'm confused. I thought we were all here because reddit killed 3rd party software such as this? Did the api decision get reversed or something?

This tool works around the recent API limitations by not actually using the API at all—it scrapes the actual JSON pages that constitute Reddit in order to present you with posts, comments, and media in a super clean format—a streamlined version of Reddit that loads instantly, even if you can’t post (or interact with posts) while using it.
What's the point of you can't interact?
Browsing posts, silly.
They did say: Reddit VIEWER
Lurking content should you find Lemmy lacking.
I'll just do that in Firefox with ublock then. At least I can interact if I wanted then.
Hey I have noticed occasional updates that have been great! I am curious if you would consider adding a sorting by controversial? Keep up the good work though! It’s been nice just getting to see what’s going on at Reddit without supporting them.
Done. Will push the update to play store tomorrow.
Any fix for the repeating post issue? I've attached a pic. This is on my Samsung s22 ultra. Videos sometimes have issues too where they'll play then the video freezes while the sounds and stuff still continue playing.
Oh you use compact mode? You will love the 1.5 update just arrived on Play Store. About the repeating posts issue unfortunately it's reddit side problem [1] [2] the other issue where you play a video and the audio keeps playing could most probably be a buffering or memory issue(I haven't encountered one on Android yet) but if you do encounter it next time please screen record and send me if you can.
Ok!
Pass. I didn't leave reddit just because I wanted to get around it later using scraping and workarounds.
I'm here as long as it remains open. I enjoy the people here more too
