I'm honestly not happy about that. There shouldn't be a crossover between a Star Trek parody and actual Star Trek, even if it's a really good parody. I'd feel the same if The Incredibles and The Fantastic Four had a crossover.
I'd feel the same if The Incredibles and The Fantastic Four had a crossover.
Although I will point out that The Fantastic Four is looking like itβs set in an alternate 1960s and will clearly involve superheroes AND Michael Giacchino is doing the music for it, so thatβs probably as close as youβre going to getβ¦
Seriously? That's actually something I have wanted for an FF movie. One set in the 1960s when the comic debuted.
I would like it even more if it took a tongue-in-cheek 60s Batman tone, but just set in the 60s works. That's not a change, that's just going back to the beginning.
Lower Decks and SNW had a crossover and it was great. (I think they're doing another?) It's certainly better than dropping in Pro Wrestlers as monsters of the week.
Yes, but LD and SNW are both Star Trek. Everything in LD is canon.
Galaxy Quest is not Star Trek. It doesn't involve any Star Trek aliens or ships. It's just a really fun parody.
And while we're on this subject, I also wouldn't like a crossover with The Orville. It's originally a parody and later a tribute to TNG. Let it stay that way.
I'm just not a fan of big shared multiverse things like this. I think it cheapens both originals.
If it was a cross over in a show that would be bad, but a mobile game, not a problem. Should be fun.
Would be happy to have some Star Trek characters come to Fortnite alongside Marvel characters for example. In a fun game, it's not a big deal.
I mean I'm not going to plant my flag and die on this hill or anything, I just don't care for it.
I'm not bothered. No chance I'll actually play these games. Just as long as these sorts of crossovers stay in games and don't cross to other media then it's fine.
Really enjoying the tone that SNW has really made it's own. I can't wait for this next season.
Also this can't be last season of Lower Decks it's so good, fingers crossed for some sort of spin off. Don't want this to be the end of this animated universe.
I didn't see release announcement for SNW. Is it still in limbo?
Click the link in the headline. You'll see five minutes of an episode. Five really funny minutes.
I had watched it. It was funny but breaks established Vulcan traits. They are violently emotional but contain it with meditation/training to strictly follow logic. The 'logic is innate to their biology' flies in the face of canon. Didn't see a date anywhere either.
Edit: I'm hoping the full episode explains it better
It did say Spock would have to train them and they looked pretty violent in the scene where Pike has the Vulcan weapon.
This movie probably gotta be better without any connection to Section 31 or Trek. With her as a lead and with such trailer, I can't see it as anything but a EEATO-but-in-Star Trek. That can be fun, but not in the right way imho.
And finally the LD announcement. I'm guilty of googling if I overslept its release at least a couple of times. Now, with Spiral\Uzumaki in September and LD in October, this autumn is packed with cool animation.
Section 31 felt unnecessarily like Suicide Squad to me, but I'll give it a chance.
Hot damn, SNW looks as great as ever.
On the other hand, the Section 31 looks as terrible as expected. I might even skip it completely. The origin parts at the beginning for the Empress look interesting but other than that...
