Highway Robbery in Water Billing: Winnipeg’s $150K Charge @NHLJets @winnipeg Martin of Charleswood discovered his elderly mother, Dorothy, had a $150,000 water bill from Winnipeg’s water department. An email revealed the massive overdraft. Initially thinking it was a scam, Tim found the charge was real and had it reversed. This incident highlights serious concerns about inflated water bills and the accuracy of automated billing systems, even in cities like Winnipeg with ample water resources.

@n3m37h@sh You're spot on. While corporations like Coke pay a flat fee and deplete water resources, causing global water crises, Canadians surrounded by lakes and rivers face exorbitant water costs. It’s unfair to charge them so much when the water table is just feet below. @britishcolumbia and coke have a deal to steal all your water away for dimes on the dollar and resell it for zillions, That is why you need to stand up and run for office, run for MP or we is just going to be fodder for Powerful
