When I Google this the general consensus is that the torturers were part of an extremist group in the Ukraine and Maxyms death was not sanctioned by the Ukraine govt or anything like that. I haven't looked deeply though so please educate me if the sources behind that storyline are untrustworthy for any reason.

Needs a far better citations. Than "unnamed soldiers."

Not saying nothing happened, but I'm saying your headline/the story is thin.
