A Lego game about building with Legos, not a world with Legos in it? Yes please (www.gog.com)

There's been tons of fun games about Lego, no doubt about it. But every game has always been the theme of Lego overlaid on another. Such as Lego Racing; you build a car to race with. Also, the actual environment/background is not made of Lego. The purpose is to race a car, and the building of the car is a facet of the game. The same is true for... any of them,really. Lego Marvel Superheroes, Star Wars, Batman, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Marvel Superheroes, DC Supervillians, Lord of the Rings... etc. It's a world with a 'skin' on Lego thrown on top. (Not that it's not lovely)

LEGO Bricktales is absurdly fun and very intuitive controls (I actually play one-handed!), but horribly controlled with a controller.

Lego builder’s journey is another game that focuses more on the actual lego, compared to the more classic lego hame style.

It’s also just a great game with pretty graphics. Pretty short, though.

I've played this a lot with my daughter and while it has some great moments, the actual Lego building in this game is really wonky with a controller. It's a bit easier with a keyboard and mouse bit it's still leaves something to be desired.

The rest of the game is great though.

Similar experience. The building doesn't feel as nice as you'd expect, and it's often more satisfying in traditional Lego games. Still, the overall gameplay is a unique divergence from their usual game design.
