If you didn't know about all the drama, you'd barely notice the voice change. I knew about it loosely and it's not noticeable.

It's kind of noticeable, but it's not that bad.

I just thought it was in his character development that he became... less drunk.

Honestly that is how they should’ve played it

Voices are fine.... You can't even tell

This is the perk of hiring sound-alike voice actors instead of doing a full recast and just expecting your viewer to eat it. (Although solar opposites did the latter in a hilarious way, which I can get behind).

When the newest season started I was surprised that they still had Justin Roylands voice the characters. Until I found out that it's not actually him but some very good imitations.

People say that the last few seasons had some very bad writing but honestly, I really liked the previous season. The Beth incest episode is probably one of my favorites and the Storylord one is just Dan Harmon doing what he loves.

The newest season however, not so much. The only episode I found good enough to rewatch was the suicide spaghetti one. The one where they deal with Rick Prime might be my least favorite episode period, aside from the Slutty Dragon one

I'm not up to the current seasons yet. Any change in writing quality?

I thought the latest season was very funny. And, even knowing exactly what they did with the voices and why; I didn't notice a difference. I'd say Harmon is right.

Incidentally, Justin Roiland also voiced one of the main characters on Solar Opposites, so they had to replace that one too--which they did in the funniest possible way.

Eh Korvos new voice doesn’t really suit the character. Rick’s voice at least sounds similar.

I kind of liked the way they completely just said "Fuck it, let's do something dumb"

The last few seasons have been absolutely awful, but this newest one has had a few of the best episodes in the entire series. There's one writer in particular, and I forget her name who's been churning out absolute bangers. Whichever one wrote the spaghetti and dennys episodes
