Anyone having a new issue where swiping from the left to go back to the thread list from a thread doesn't load properly and instead shows a black screen for a second or so.

Screen recording: https://imgur.com/a/bvzkyfu

All animations in the settings are enabled.

I am also having this issue on a Pixel 8 Pro immediately after installing the June security update. Clearing app cache does not help.

What’s interesting is that if you use the system back gesture (swipe from edge), the animation works as expected.

Interesting, yeah I think it started after that update for me too but I'm on a Pixel 8 (not pro).

Same here, Pixel 6

I have the same problem. It started happening after the latest Android update on my Pixel 7.

The fact that this bug also occurs in Sync for Reddit is so sad, as we all know that app won't get another update :/

Try closing the app.

Going to your phones settings > apps > sync > storage & cache > clear cache.

Then try the app again.

Didn't work. Same issue after.

Interestingly, I was having that issue on my Samsung S21 for the last few months, but by updating to OneUI 6.1 it's now fixed. I think this is an Android bug and not a Sync for Lemmy bug.
