Seeing him wave to the Lance Stroll Grandstand, I got wondering on his popularity with F1 fans from his home country.

"I'm in the f@#$in wall" is all that comes to mind.

He’s absolutely trash. I’d rather there were 0 Canadians in F1 than have him.

This is me with Sargeant. Really hoping Jak Crawford eventually makes it up from Formula 3, just so CotA would have a hometown driver.

I'm not canadian but I recently met one and asked about this and after deciphering all the "eh's" and "aboots" I understood that the maple leafs once again failed misreably and he hates being a fan of them.

Dont know what that has to do with Stroll but anyways

I am also not Canadian but I recently saw one walking the street. Did not ask him anything but saw the maple leaf stitched insignia on his backpack and assumed he disliked Canada so much that he fled the country, or so I like to think.

Don't know what that has to do with Stroll but anyways...

Could also be a tourist from the USA. Sometimes we put Canadian flags on our stuff to be less reviled when we’re in Europe. πŸ˜
