Most people live their own lives by that code of ethics. Libertarians believe that that code should be applied consistently, even to the actions of governments, which should be restricted to protecting people from violations of their rights. Governments should not use their powers to censor speech, conscript the young, prohibit voluntary exchanges, steal or “redistribute” property, or interfere in the lives of individuals who are otherwise minding their own business.

This community is fundamentally built upon freedom of speech. Since everyone understands libertarianism differently and we do not want to exclude any kind of content a priori, we appeal to the individual users to block/mute posts or users who do not meet their requirements. The libertarian candidate gets attacked by other libertarians for wanting open immigration, trans rights, and for being gay.
Why do these libertarians only want personal freedom for straight white folks?

Libertarians had been split on abortion for years, if that helps clear it up at all.
The Mises Caucus are not libertarians, they are Trumpicans in VERY thin mask.
Don't worry about the "libertarians" that oppose Chase. I imagine after this defeat the false libertarians will rejoin the MAGA crowd. The convention made it clear that the majority of the party still has good values and principals. Focus on that. Chase won the nomination. The others can either join or move on.
Libertarian, to me, breaks down to "Hooray for me, and fuck you."
