I didn't think MLS would be able to land Messi, so I won't say never here... but I'm leaning on the side of "maybe in 5 years" for Mbappe. He's in his prime and would lose out on competing for European titles. How many CLs does he have again? He could move to City, United, Chelsea, Barca, Real Madrid, Bayern, etc to get a good chance to finally win a CL while also making more money than he would here. I mean, the reason the deal for Messi worked is we gave him percentages of AppleTV and Adidas revenue. How many more of those percentage deals do we have to go around before there are no percentages left?
