Does this matter if on linux? I went intel on my laptop because it was a good deal, decent priced ryzen not that common i found

I don't think it matters for most people, and on linux I doubt the telemetry get out to intel anyway. It's not like they will brick your CPU when you not online.

It's getting to the point where it's easier to list the things that don't log telemetry data than the things that do.
