You know what we should do collectively in Canada? Everytime we get one of these coins, donate it to a First Nations reparations organisation.

Love the design
Can't wait to honour indigenous people with coins most people don't use anymore just to steal more of their land for construction projects!
coins most people don’t use anymore
Maybe most people you know, but there is still a lot of cash being used every day.
Was it really there land to begin with?
I believe technically it wasn't. I remember reading as a kid that they chased out other aboriginal tribes from this territory that had to move south.
It's called a toonie
Love how these look!
Looks cool
“When it comes to reconciliation, I would say this is pretty close to that and I felt it with the people that I worked with.”
Ah yes, Reconciliation Lite ™ - "I can't believe it's not reconciliation!"
I like the art, but this coin feels like: Hey here's two bucks, sorry we raped your children eh?
Exactly. Let's give ourselves a pat on the back for this symbolic gesture that, uh, does nothing but make us feel better about ourselves! We're cool now, right?
Love the design and colour, just ordered a roll
Nice, the colored version looks great!
