They're racists, ableists and misogynists. Everything else they scream about is a cover for those types of things.
There's a shortage of positive cis white male role models. Some kids need that and they latch onto whoever is the loudest.

I'm also puzzled why his self aggrandizing rants are so popular. There's nothing intelligent in it.
Confidence and self-esteem (as misplaced as they may be) are attractive to those who lack those qualities. Anyone with a shred of their own self-esteem or confidence can see right through him. Unfortunately, there are plenty of vulnerable, disenfranchised, or mentally ill people out there ready to be taken advantage of. Hopefully his days in the spotlight are numbered.
