Nothing quite like different shades of the same colour to get your point across.

Perhaps you might select distinct colours instead.

Shades of colour are best used for indicating a scale, like on a heatmap for example.

The point I got from it was that Germans can go basically anywhere with low effort. The similar shades reinforce that, as concepts like “Visa not required” and “Visa on arrival” are pretty closely equal in burden.

You see this Germany? Get those visas ready before you even THINK about going to Antarctica!

To visit Antarktis as a German citizen, you actually need a permission from the federal environment office (Umweltbundesamt).

It's protected environment by the Antarctic Treaty System. I guess you are being told about the do's and don'ts and get the permission easily.

You apply at the penguin enclosure at the local zoo

Iirc, German passports are overall the most versatile in terms of allowing international travel.

It's a tie between Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Japan, Singapore

All have access to 194 of 227 countries without visa.

I love when people casually throw out numbers like "227 countries" because I just know somewhere someone is very upset about the implications of that statement
