MODERATORS

I'd start these myself, but don't have the time to moderate them.

Out of the Loop: Lemmings request to be updated on recent news, trends, and similar

ELI5: A community where Leminnings can request that complex ideas/knowledge it explained in layperson terms (not actually 5 y/o level tho)

BestOfLemmy: A community in which Lemmings cross-post the best posts & comments on Lemmy

AskScience: A place where Lemmings can ask science-related questions and relevant discussions.

thanks! if you don't mind, what's the difference between Lemmy and kbin? as far as I can tell, they're part of a federated system, but kbin seems a bit quicker and more responsive when posting. is Lemmy going through a transition or am is there possibly something on my end I could check?

They are both link aggregators. With kbin you can follow, post all of Lemmy without registering on a Lemmy instance.

Kbin also integrates easy with mastodon and show's the microblog in the same way as if it was a Lemmy thread.

I registered on Lemmy and on kbin checking both out . I like kbin more for now but keep my options open.

thanks! I started with Lemmy, ther signed up for kbin due to your post. I have been having some difficulty with things timing out on Lemmy, while kbin seems a bit more functional at the moment, but I'm using both to see how I feel in the long-term.
