Never played this game but i did watch like a 5 hour long compilation of the cutscenes
Would the game still be worth playing at this point or is it mostly about the story and cutscenes
I had done the same - watched the story on YouTube years ago because I will never have a PlayStation.
Then it came to PC and I played it on my steam deck. Absolutely worth it.
I just finished this game last week. I think it's still worth playing even if you already know the entire story. The story was good, but there's still a lot more worth playing for.
A large part of what I enjoyed was the environment. The level designs were excellent. The visuals in every area are stunning. The puzzles are creative. You can tell each area, including the large open area, was handcrafted with the player's perspective in mind. The cutscenes showcase some of the environment, but it's just so much better to go through it yourself at your own pace.
At last!
