One opinion I've heard that I really liked was that technology isn't going to make doctors obsolete, it's going to allow them to treat more patients per unit of time by making things like testing and diagnosis quicker. Personally I want a trained human intelligence (aka a doctor) reviewing evidence and confirming treatment strategies. However, I have no issue with an AI searching my x-rays for abnormalities or a super-steady robot doing surgeries if the evidence clearly shows they are consistent and safe.
With health professional burnout proving to be a real issue the whole world over, I think it's wise to support the (very carefully vetted) automation of tasks that can be safely and swiftly done by robots/AI. Just so long as there's a priority on evidence-based maintenance/improvement of beneficial patient outcomes.
