Open the wall box, push the connector inside the box (on mine it can be detached) and let only the wire go out from the wall, with the connector inside the wall box

Legrand makes a recessed keystone wall plate that may help. There are also other recessed and angled plate options that may help.
No experience with them, myself. Just a quick look and I found CAT-6 cables with a 90 degree connector, a 90 degree male to female adapter, and a 90 degree adapter that has a short cable to move the female connection so that is easier to reach.
I'd get all 3 styles and try them out separately to see if there is any performance impact. I can't imagine any significant impact on performance occurring but it's worth double checking. The biggest issue I can see is just build quality of the part.
Yes I'm very concerned with the quality. This whole setup is gigabit compatible and I wouldn't want to introduce a bottleneck...
Which brands have you come across that I might check out?
I've never heard of any of the brands that come up so I can't recommend any of them. I just searched for "RJ45 90 degree adapter" and found a number of options.
I’ve seen some of those in use before, and they seemed to be working fine. My concern would be the item of furniture pressing against the port and as it is bumped/moved, breaking the port in the long term.
The furniture won't be flush with the wall so I might try it out. If you have any suggested brands I'd be happy to hear. Currently looking at some options on AliExpress but they'll be more miss than hit I think...
I don’t recall the brands unfortunately, but I doubt that any would introduce any serious bottlenecks. I’d buy a few different looking ones to try and then just go with the best, especially if they’re from AliExpress.
the tripp lite patch cables that have 90 degree plugs work. for the health of the jack and the connection, though, you still don't want something like a sofa or dresser banging against it.
I'll look into that brand. Thanks
