There are non-awful fonts designed specifically for dyslexia.
So I went looking, and found this

Which also looks weird to me, but if it makes it easier for someone with dyslexia to use their phone then I'm all for it :)

I know Amazon also developed some very un-janky dyslexic typefaces for the Kindle, but I don't know if they can be had for free.
