Slay the Spire 2 looks incredibly similar to the first so I don't see what risk it's taking?
Last I looked into it the risk was moving to an entirely different game engine with Godot. Different features, APIs, capabilities. Godot in particular doesn't port the greatest outside of PC.
Although the article was more about making the first one.
Don't mean to be rude but you'd know if you bothered to read the article. They were talking on how they were successful and inspired a whole genre deck building games with the first game. Also referencing the success of Helldivers 2.
