Ergonomic, split and other weird keyboards

Rules

Keep it ergo

Posts must be of/about keyboards that have a clear delineation between the left and right halves of the keyboard, column stagger, or both. This includes one-handed (one half doesn't exist, what clearer delineation is that!?)

i.e. no regular non-split¹ row-stagger and no non-split¹ ortholinear²

¹ split meaning a separation of the halves, whether fixed in place or entirely separate, both are fine.
² ortholinear meaning keys layed out in a grid

Hello you awesome folks 😃 ,

Even though I've never done any electronics, last year I managed to build myself a Redox with some parts I ordered from Falba. It worked wonders, and I was a happy ergo kb user... up until a while ago.

I was happily typing when suddenly, the right half of it stopped working. My keystrokes are not registered. The RGBs only display some red lights instead of the colours I was using.

  • The left (master) part is working fine
  • I tried replacing the TRRS cable, but the same issue (So it's not the cable)
  • If I plug the USB in the right part, it works fine (inversed layout, of course) but then the left part is non-functional.

Any idea of what this might be? I suppose I will need to troubleshoot the electronics, but no idea how to do that.

Thanks :)

Thanks for your reply! I haven't tried that, as the firmware seems fine when I plug the USB in it directly.
