This release adds the ability to create, edit or even delete communities. It also includes some very minor QoL improvements and bug fixes.

Full changelog

  • Added an option to the Import & Export settings page to backup and reset your current settings.
  • Added support for editing communities.
  • Added support for creating communities.
  • Added option to delete a community.
  • Update back behavior. Tapping back while on a community that is not the home community will take you back to the home community instead of exiting the app.
  • Fixed a bug where sometimes a vertical line would appear on the right side of the screen.
  • Fixed a bug where you can't swipe left to leave a post in certain situations.

Something broke for me. When I'm in my profile section looking at my old posts and comments, I can't get out of that screen. I keep pressing back on my pixel phone (which is a swipe on the left of the screen in newer android) and it just reloads the same page.

I have to kill summit to get back to normal post browsing.

This still worked yesterday before the update.

Is this easily reproducible for you? I tried this but I was unable to reproduce the issue. I did encounter some other bugs related to navigation which was due to depending on a buggy library. I'll push out a fix for that library issue and hopefully that fixes your issue too.

This was definitely an issue and I could reproduce it consistently at the time. But I tried it now and it is working fine.

I'm a software dev myself and this stuff frustrates me but happens so often! So sorry for the false alarm. Maybe it was something else in Android messing with my back function.
