Does del norte really have a bad reputation? I've only ever seen nice things about it, this picture being one example. Speaking of which, beautiful picture :')
It was, for instance, the only red coastal county in CA in 2016 Trump vs. Clinton. I think it has a reputation of being less "hippie" than the rest of the northern California coast (e.g., Humboldt, Mendocino).
When Cresent City is the most developed place for 2 hours in any direction, it's gotta be depressing to live there. Sure the redwoods are pretty, but ffs is desolate everywhere else
