It's unfortunate, but the people most harmed by this will first need aircraft to get to the corporate headquarters so they can use the torches, since a lot of these places have no other easy way in or out. (Burning individual stores just means that there will be nowhere in that community to buy food at all.)

Isolated northern communities have always gotten the short end of the stick. For everything. Made even worse when the ice roads don't do well, which I don't think they did this year.
