I'm starting to worry that, funny as this situation is, we're starting to get too amused by it that we're forgetting it we also need to be outraged by it.

For the uninformed, what exactly is this apparent situation that happened?

Two cops shot into a police vehicle containing an unarmed man because one of the cops heard an acorn land on the vehicle and assumed he had just been shot.

The police have intentionally been conditioned to be so fearful and so trigger-happy that they nearly murdered a man in broad daylight because of an acorn. The police are more dangerous than the criminals they pursue.

A police officer in responds to a call got spooked by the sound of an acorn dropping on the roof of his car and opened fire into the car. At the time there was a suspect in the car who he and his partner has already searched, cleared, and handcuffed. Luckily during the panic blind fire the suspect was not hurt. Searching "acorn police" would bring up news articles if you want to know more.
