EDIT: ch24 is also out. To avoid creating a new disc thread, I'm editing this one.

Summary of this series:

Just like in Otomege, Chounin A starts with a male protagonist (Allen) being forced by his sister to play a shitty otome game, kicking the bucket, and reincarnating into the game as a mob character. He is "Village A" - for the sake of the game he's just another character to die.

But beyond that, both series are nothing alike. Chounin A is more serious, it's geared towards a monogamic romance, and Allen is likeable and level-headed person, willing to work hard since childhood cleaning sewers to avoid his and his isekai mother's deaths. And to save the villainess, as in the name of the story.

Why save the villainess? Because upon analysis Allen concluded that she's the only decent character from that shitty game, unlike the heroine and the love interests.

For those who like novels, note that the light novel version of the story has been fully translated already. It's a hundred or so chapters.

While I like both of them, the serious undertones of this one make it better IMHO.

Ditto. I don't mind some comedy, and Leon pissing off everyone (including sometimes the readers) is really fun, but Chounin A is more like heartwarming, to be read for the story.
