Are you still using verizon? I'm not super confident about this but I think the Verizon variant came with the mmwave radios that Verizon uses for some of it's 5g.
Personally I'd save the $$$ and think about buying a true unlocked when it comes time to upgrade
I am on Verizon. I don't know enough about mmwave to know if I should care, honestly.
I want to say all the pixel 7s came with mmwave, which was different that generations prior. That said, it's reeeeaaaally hit-or-miss on Verizon. It's cool to pull a crazy speed in a major city high -density area like a huge airport, but the tech/saturation isn't there yet for it to be much more than a party trick at this point.
