'I want to go to school but can't afford it' isn't a sufficiently good excuse to join the imperial murder machine.
Also, without 'cooks, janitors, stores distributors, technicians, mechanics' the military wouldn't function, so these people may never pull a trigger but they're still complicit in the killing.
The military is the only place that needs cooks, janitors, store distributors, technicians, mechanics. No one else needs these skills
