Note that 2 stars at this point makes more impact than 1 star. A spike a one star tells people "some drama is going on that it getting the app review bombed. Probably doesn't matter to me." More 2 stars is better.
Wouldn't most people just look at the rating average itself for the time being, rather than go through the individual reviews?
Though even if they do the latter, leaving a 1-star review with a well-written and concise explanation about why it scores so low would alleviate the issue of people dismissing it as meaningless drama.
People look at the graph at the top. They don't read reviews, they see a natural and even distribution of 3s 4s and 5s, almost no 2s, and a suspicious spike of 1s.
From what I've seen, a spike at 1 and 5 star reviews isn't all that suspicious. A lot of people treat the star rating system as a like/dislike system, where 5 is a like, and 1 is a dislike. Of course, there's the variation in between, but the majority of reviews fall under the extremes, for any app.
Like for example, this is the google play store rating for facebook and instagram respectively. They spike at 1-star and 5-star, and it's not out of the ordinary:
That's what I did but it's hard to even justify 2 stars. I'll give them a slight notch for three content they do have at the moment/ for the interim.
At least I'm running it with revanced and only dir super specific niche subreddits that haven't transferred over - I'm no longer commenting or providing content.
It doesn't deserve 1 let alone 2 stars, drama or otherwise.
