TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name
/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.
Fun will now commence.

Honorary Badbitch:
@[email protected] for realizing that the line used to be "want to be added to the sidebar?" and capitalized on it. Congratulations and welcome to the sidebar. Stamets is both ashamed and proud.

So what happened to Risa? I've been out of the loop.
Risa's too crowded, nobody goes there anymore.
I heard that in SteFan's voice from Sat Night Live.
Fun hatin, power trippin mod got butthurt abt sumthin and can't abide. IDK it's pretty early.
Do we now need OOTL and Lemmy Drama communities? I was also wondering why this new comm appeared.
Yeah, there's an ongoing...disagreement... between @[email protected] and @[email protected] . I feel like if imma cleverly allude to it, I might as well Name Names, so the Named have a fair chance to see it. Both of them have memed many a clever meme that I enjoyed heartily over my morning tea, so I want to show respect, not bring the teapot back to the boil.
That's a bummer. I hope they figure things out! If there's one thing Star Trek taught me, it's that there's always a diplomatic solution. Unless two of your friends get combined into a unique sentient being that didn't ask to live in some freak transporter accident. Then you murder them relentlessly.
I salute you from my 1993 Toyota Corolla, lovingly known as "The Reliable One"
That is so true. ::single real tear, not the tattoo kind:::
I’ve only seen the mods be upset about AI content, I’ve heard of posts being removed due to “low effort” but I haven’t had the free time to create OC and post there lately.
rhut roh. ive got a folder labeled 'no effort'
You have the best server name I've ever seen
Risa has a no real rules policy, which meant that the mod started making up unwritten rules.
nothing happened the mod here just wanted their own community
some different people are here bc risa removed a no-effort ai post and a celeb tablod post and they want that content i guess
It's not nothing. One of the mods in /c/Risa was being overzealous about removing content. I think the post that started it was about Sarah Silverman making out with Tim Russ during the filming of Future's End. The post was removed for "not a meme or shitpost" which some of the community felt was against the purpose of the community since Risa has no rules. People made a few posts asking why that post wasn't allowed and those posts were removed. Stamets et al created this community a few days ago in response. That's as much as I know about the situation.
Edit:
In response to your edit:
This is the entirety of the sidebar on /c/Risa "Come on’n get your jamaharon on! There are no real rules—just don’t break the weather control network."
Where does that ban ai posts or celebrity tabloids? The correct thing for the mod to do would be to make rules if they don't want those posts not remove them and all discussions regarding said posts.
Then make a rule about it and don't say "there are no rules". Also, who decides what "unfun" is? The mod?
