Picked this one up a couple weeks ago. I’ve been playing for close to 20 years, and this is the first Les Paul I’ve ever really fallen in love with. The big 50’s neck profile is extremely comfortable, and holy crap do I love these Mini Humbuckers! Even though everyone quotes Spinal Tap when I say it, the sustain is exceptional; it gives the tone a very “vocal” quality.

I've never seen those mini buckers before, thought they were p90s at first glance. How do they compare to the full size ones?

Also RIP your back, I love my LP but it's so damn heavy I stopped gigging with it years ago

The minis to me sound brighter and clearer. You can really get some twang out of the bridge pickup. I find the neck to be a lot more usable as well; still a little muddy in the lower registers, but for a bluesy solo in the high register it’s got that body and bite similar to a strat neck pickup.

Interestingly, the routing in the body is the same size as a soap bar P90. This makes these guitars really easy to mod because you can throw a P90 in either position just by taking out the pickup ring that holds the mini.
