What is First Past The Post (FPTP)?

FPTP is a voting system where each voters submits their vote for one candidate, and the candidate with the most votes wins.

Why is FPTP bad?

Because FPTP hurts candidates who have similar positions, it leads to a two-party system.
FPTP creates wasted votes and excess votes.
FPTP strongly encourages tactical voting.
FPTP allows for gerrymandering

I looked it up on Wikipedia:

In electoral systems which use ranked voting, a donkey vote is a cast ballot where the voter ranks the candidates based on the order they appear on the ballot itself. The voter that votes in this manner is referred to as a donkey voter.

But I didn't intend to provide any donkey vote examples.
