Doesn't this need extensive individual training for each individual user? Still super cool, but not nearly as practical as one might hope based on the headline.
Absolutely. It also needs an FMRI, which would absolutely destroy any coverage limits for home use (also probably your electronics, circuit breakers, and floor).
Still, the same concept may be usable for implanted devices at some point.
