After using Reddit, using these wierd apps and words like federalize makes me feel like I am using linux, growing a neckbeard and investing in crypto
What are you waiting for? Get on it.
Unzips. Now what?
LMFAO!!
Do use Linux tho the rest is not suggested
Honestly the term federate feels like something Iโd read in r/DeathStranding and similarly not ever understand the true meaning

People keeps saying it as if it's a universally known word that explains everything
If people don't understand you, just say it louder and with more energy. Federate! FEDERATE! F E D E R A T E !!!!!!!!
I mean... it's pretty self-descriptive if you've ever taken a high-school governments class. A federation is a group of functionally separate entities that come together to form a system (like U.S. states forming a federal government, or European countries forming an international union).
If one of the members misbehaves, the other federation members may stop talking to them. Think of that like a no-deal Brexit situation. Now Britain's gone from the union and they can't freely communicate workers/goods anymore, like an island. That's defederation in a nutshell.
I can't believe you went for these obscure examples like the US or the EU and not the most obvious example: the United Federation of Planets from Star Trek, of course!
One of these three is not like the others.
