when do you like to run with heresy items (lemmy.world)

Not the most seasoned player, but I've been enjoying experimenting with the heresy skills with captain. Hooks seem to be almost always better, and the utility and special are basically a flat upgrade for captain in the void.

what opinions do you all have?

Well, I very rarely use them, but the special is supposedly really good on commando. Lots of damage, high proc coefficient, and his specials aren't really an integral part of his build (unlike Rex or Engineer for example).
