What’s the point of fast kickoff if everyone perfects it (lemmy.world)

If everyone at higher ranks has it figured out what’s the point? Like I can understand when someone doesn’t do it but what’s the difference than doing a normal one if people have it down to a science

i disagree with this, fast kickoff is not really needed below high champ.

I confirm this. I consistently win kickoff against people doing speed flips for instance.

If you are fast reaching the ball but you don't have a plan on how you and your opponent will hit it it's not super useful to be crazy good at speed flips.

Imo thinking about how you will hit the ball is much more important than reaching it first. At least around champ that's the case.
