Hi there! I was just reading about Poutine this morning because it came up in a wrestling game my son was playing (which seems to be set in Canada) so he asked about it. Is it the treasured national dish I'm led to believe it is?

I wouldn't go so far as "treasured" but I would say "enjoyed". We really like it, but we realize there's an appropriate time and place for poutine.

We treasure maple syrup and shawarma. Both are appropriate for all occasions and can be enjoyed by everyone at all times.

TIL shawarma is big in Canada.

In central and eastern Canada it's pretty big. I can't speak for the prairies or left coast.
