Is it me or do the Bucks seem "old"....? I know Giannis is a stud, but somehow everyone they've put around him is just.. Old or has a lot of miles on them.
Their core is pretty old. That said it didn’t feel like they lost last year because of age. They lost because they could execute and because Giannis was injured.
I won’t look up the stats but the Spurs Championship run with Kawhi felt old as well, with Duncan, Manu, Parker, Bonner, etc. So did GSW last year.
I guess it’s going to boil down to how much they can reinvent themselves this year and get up another gear with the Middleton-Jute-Giannis-Lopez core.
Yeah I think having a new coach is what they’re hoping will be the difference maker. I think if Giannis was healthy they would have made the ECF/Finals but don’t think they would’ve beat the nuggets with bud as coach.
Bud is a good regular season coach but has consistently struggled in the playoffs due to lack of adjustments. Outside the year they won (and sometimes even in that year) it felt like they never played up to their talent level
