Having a large house will give you a large bill for power, water, heating, cleaning and repairs, especially if it comes with a large pool. And you probably need a gardener or a lot of free time to prevent the property from overgrowing with weeds and trees.
It's like supercars. It's not the initial cost that gets you, but the running costs.
