So today I clicked a twitter link because companies like to use it for official announcements, only to be greeted with a login page. Was annoyed then I remembered nitter exists. It just prompted me to install Privacy Redirect which I should have done ages ago.

Looks like twitter waited for the reddit API changes to do push this change to try to do it under the radar.
privacy redirect is good, but unmaintained, I recommend libredirect because its updated and it supports every site privacy redirect supports + much more + it can test speeds and fetch instances and it can create custom redirects if you want to
If my understanding on the topic is correct then nitter won't function anymore.

If a bitter instance is logged in for you it should work. But maybe they can trick earth with pretending to embed
