How can I subscribe to a community that is on a remote instance? (lemmy.world)

Might be using the wrong terminology, but I have an account on lemmy.world and I want to subscribe to a community on a different instance, e.g., lemmy.ml from within wefwef.

How can I do that if I already have the HTTPS link for the new community I want to subscribe to?

That's still not a solution. How do we search a specific one?

I've been trying for 30 minutes to search for [email protected] and absolutely cannot get wefwef or connect to locate it. I have also tried searching for only Linux and [email protected]
