Because Alice and Liam are the kind of people who read every negative comment even ones not mentioning them directly by name on twitter and youtube, carve it out in their memory for all time, and create a mind-palace of spite dedicated solely to that very moment of them reading that comment and then proceed to base their next political shift off of that anger. The third guy is too boring to focus on since he's the only one doing research for the podcast.
The podcast has always been a bizarre fixation on this website early on, since it just kinda felt like a really drawn out online course done by someone on benzos, constantly interrupted by the worst jokes from Red Scare.
