I do it now with my compact crossover too, but it's a bigger pain in the ass. If and when I get a pickup, it'll all be easier.
I guess good for you guys that you continue to choose vehicles that make your leisure time activities more difficult? Idunno what point you're trying to make or what sort of moral high ground you're trying to claim.
Station-Wagons I think you call them? And vans can fit a lot of stuff.
You read too much between the lines, I just don't think that hobbies are the reason why Americans buy so many pick ups
