Mr. Perry, who died on Saturday, was best known for his role in “Friends,” the NBC sitcom that followed a group of young professionals living in Manhattan.

Now? NYT has been this way for years. Also, there exists addons to bypass paywalls. I use https://github.com/iamadamdev?tab=repositories on Chrome and Firefox. On mobile I use Chrome with javascript turned off for paywalled sites. Any addon/extension that allows you to easily turn off javascript will kill paywalls.

I added the Bypass Paywall filter in ublock origin addon. Pretty much all paywalls have disappeared now https://gitlab.com/magnolia1234/bypass-paywalls-clean-filters
