Welcome to today’s daily kōrero!

Anyone can make the thread, first in first served. If you are here on a day and there’s no daily thread, feel free to create it!

Anyway, it’s just a chance to talk about your day, what you have planned, what you have done, etc.

So, how’s it going?

Got the day off work today to spend woth the kiddo (19 months old). However I am a bit lost with what to do... we have been to the Auckland Zoo, MOTAT and Muesam recently so for my sake I'd rather not go there again. Anyone have any ideas?

I was thinking Jump, but he may be a bit young...

If the weather is nice, go for a bush walk. My kids love just running around in the trees, finding treasures like rocks or cool sticks.

Get outside like absGeekNZ suggested, or there is Kelly Tarltons.

Could go explore the old military bunkers on the mountain in Devonport.

Go hunt for critters in rock pools. I loved doing that as a kid.

Jump is probably a bit too much for < 2, but there are places like Extreme Entertainment that have kiddy ballpits and stuff.

Yes go to the beach at low tide and find crabs under the rocks and in rock pools. Endless fun.

Or just dig a hole until you reach water, or find a small stream heading down the beach and build a dam. Endless fun at the beach (but remember hats and sunscreen!)
