Stop feeding the drama then
Stop protecting the drama queen then. If anyone mentions his project's name as an attempt to give it publicity, and him or his acolytes not apologise to any of us, resistance will continue.
Cringe
Its not cringe, stop this apathy and individualism. It kills the unity of privacy community, and its not like there are too many good intent people to begin with. Moral intent is the most important element to establish trust, and repeated liars ain't one to trust.
What unity
The leftover sane people and guide writers, who are not sheeps of blind toxic cults like Apple, Brave, Google, GrapheneOS and few others.
Reddit's privacy communities have already fallen (https://old.reddit.com/r/privacy/comments/179b8f5/what_happened_to_rprivacy/), so your pessimism here is unneeded and obstructive. FOSS privacy spheres need builders, not what you are doing.
