Depending on what kind of match-making system it has, you might be able to get in to it. A lot of modern Pvp games used skill based matchmaking systems. They look at your aggregate performance over the last 5-10 games and try to match you with people who have similar performance. On paper that means you're always being matched against people who are of similar skill so you always get challenging matches, whether you're a god of the arena or at a much humbler skill level. It doesn't always work well, but the idea is to give people matches where they can have a good, challenging game without either dominating or being dominated.

I hate multiplayer games because they're fucking complicated for, well, multiplayer games. Don't get me wrong... I want to enjoy them... But I just can't... git gud.
