Obviously this is a long shot but is there any way to get game pass working on Linux? I realise most of the games can be played through steam but it is a good way to try out new games cheaply

There is a Microsoft Approved way of getting Xbox Cloud Gaming to work on Steam Deck. I haven't tried doing it on Linux proper, but it would be weird if they didn't allow it.

As a non-user of Gamepass, I don't know if this is acceptable or not, but it's the only thing I am aware of.

I'm actually talking about just the game library part not the streaming service, the one that lets you download and run them on your own hardware. It's looking like streaming is the option I'll need to go for for this though

Sadly, I think it is not possible. Game Pass games have Microsoft DRM, and completely break the compatibility with wine/proton.

No work around at the moment. :⁠-⁠\
