Lots to like in that episode but boy did it feel like filler as there never felt to be any threat to any of the characters good or bad during the episode.
For example, who the fuck allows the villain to run off when they were straight up trying to murder you and your friends when you have a three on one advantage? I get that they hinting at Shin turning but at least give her some cover from the departing gunships as her escape route.
I found Ezra's new found love of Skyrim's two handed tank build cringey. Other peoples mileage will vary on this but it just wasn't the level it needed to be compared to any modern martial arts film, just clumsy force clubbing and force pushing.
Really glad they went with C3P0 rather than uncanny valley CGI Leia for the Court Room scene, nice to seem him again and less crap CGI faces the better.
Shin didn't need cover because they were legitimately trying to help her. Yes, they could have captured her and made friends that way, but the Force works in mysterious ways so this method is fine.
